SUMMARY
A successful Senior Consultant will collaborate with Architects on design, strategy, products for the successful delivery of professional services engagements for our clients. This position requires making contributions to specific client departments with a focus on IT/OT as well as partners and those internal to our organization. The role may also assist in the creation of business development strategies that will prepare for present and future shifts in industry, ultimately creating and maintaining differentiators in the market. With a focus on standardization, the role will assist with the establishment of configuration baselines and benchmarks including the developing of best practices for the lifecycle of client facing strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
- Services Delivery and Support Tickets: Ownership of service implementation engagements and support tickets including network infrastructure in alignment with the company and manufacture standards and best practices, following standard operating procedures for PMO and delivery team. Review statements of work, level of efforts and build of materials for clarity and comprehension and work with the
Architecture team to clarify any ambiguity or items that require additional information or may not clearly describe all aspects of the deployment that should be considered.
- Pre-Sale Support: Work with Architecture and PreSales teams to support client activities
including creation, revision and feedback on product and services proposals for implementation bearing in mind details or other data that should be considered during the solutioning phase. Actively participate in close-out and lessons learned discussions for continuous improvement of the delivery and presales process for particularly challenging engagements or where applicable.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Thought leadership: Assist in development of strategy for new initiatives and products that will support the customer base and strengthen new and existing offerings in the market. Continuous education on emerging methodologies and paradigm shifts by
leveraging online news feeds, forums and social media, networking with peers and active engagement at conferences, seminars and training events.
- Marketing Campaigns and Events: Assist in marketing efforts for network practice and related areas of expertise. Provide guidance for campaigns and online presence and insight to market conditions and demand. Attend events where applicable.
- Training and Relationships: Provide feedback in developing internal training plans for
pre-sales, sales, and post-sales to introduce and educate on new initiatives, methodologies and paradigm shifts that impact on our client base or specific industries. Assist with maintaining partner relationships with field contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Education:
- Associate’s degree or higher level of education
- Experience:
- 12 years or more in IT
- 10 years or more with focus in networking
- 3 year or more in a consultant, lead or management role
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced to expert level knowledge of networking needs for environments of all sizes and types
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge and implementation troubleshooting and visibility tools
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of wireless network design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of business and technology process documentation include disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of technology standard operating procedure and environment configuration documentation
- Basic to intermediate level knowledge of application delivery controllers and load balancers
- Practical experience with assessment, analysis, get-well and support of infrastructure supporting hundreds to thousands of devices.

- Certifications:
- Required: Network focused professional level certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE, etc.
- Preferred: Wireless related industry certification
