Account Manager – Commercial Sector

Position Overview
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to expand our footprint within the commercial sector. This role is designed for a true hunter—someone passionate about building and growing a book of business from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have experience selling IT solutions and a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and develop new business opportunities within the commercial sector across Central Texas.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive sales of Networking, Collaboration, Cybersecurity, and Data Center solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, ensuring a consultative and solutions-oriented approach.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and delivery teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving technology needs of clients.
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic account planning.
- Work primarily remotely, with occasional in-office collaboration (typically one day per week).
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in IT sales, with a preference for candidates from a VAR (Value-Added Reseller) background. Candidates with experience from OEMs are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to develop new business and build lasting client relationships.
- Experience selling Network, Collaboration, Cybersecurity, or Data Center solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and articulate the value of technology solutions to business leaders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
